Our Story
The Roots of Harbour Love...
Harbour Love made its official start in 2018 as an off-shoot of past program initiatives to build community connections as a response to the lack of community run options available. We've grown from our inception as three dedicated members, to five to ten volunteers on a rotating basis. Our services and events have been growing in attendance with ages spanning from 0-90.
We are proud to see our list of milestones growing over time, as we continue to build and expand our community connections. HL is in the sixth year of Community Clean-up, third year of Bingo, fourth year of the Easter event, and going into the second year of hosting the community pantry and seniors group. With over 2000 hours of student volunteer hours, we serve over 25 families and contribute to social opportunities to close to 200 households.
Our mission is to offer a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for families, residents, and neighbours to learn, grow, and thrive while building understanding and resilience. We aim to amplify the resources already available, with goals to make a positive impression and impact within our neighbourhood and growing community.
We love where we live!
